Maggie and I were honored to celebrate Amy & Ryan’s wedding with them at the Branford House a few weeks back. The day was warm, bright, and love was in the air.  Now let’s back track a bit. These two were united by their employer, well not actually, but the same company and a little bit of fate sprinkled on top made it happen. Amy is from Wisconsin and Ryan is from Connecticut and about 3 years ago their company decided to send them to do some training in Baltimore. Early that morning as eager as anyone is to get to a company seminar they shuffled in, but something was different that day, something amazing that you can not explain. It’s called Love!! Amy and Ryan locked eyes from across the room, then quickly shied away like we all naturally do when we get caught staring at someone gorgeous đ Later they got a chance to say hi and that was it, fate was sealed and it was love at first sight. They began to talk about their love for vineyards, cooking, traveling the world and knew at that moment that life from that day forward, would forever be changed.
Fast forward about a year and they were traveling to the Aryn Islands off of West Coast of Ireland. Ryan planned a trip to the top of one of the castles. Amy was overlooking the oceanside and Ryan got down on one knee. He stared up at the most beautiful woman he ever laid eyes on, and asked her one of the most important and nerve racking questions people could ask each other. The one that signifies a long life together,  holding hands in rocking chairs, and watching your children, then your grandchildren play in the yard kind of question. Knowing that you will never wake up in the morning alone kind of question. Then by the looks of the photos below (3 years exactly from the date they met) she said YES. So sit back, relax and take a trip into the life of Amy & Ryan’s wedding day.
Check out Amy’s shoes, and for something extra special, she dawned her moms gorgeous engagement ring on her bouquet.
We started the day at the Mystic Marriott with Silvana Spa and Salon rocking hair and makeup. Her headband was actually her something borrowed as well.
Amy’s Dress was from Harold’s of New Haven, we happened to find a secret door with a glowing yellow light from the window and had to use it for a epic dress shot.
Ryan’s dad helped him with his finishing touches and let me say he’s a dapper looking dude himself đ
Now you know we LOVE first looks, it gives the couple that first sight of each other dressed in their finest for the time in private. We believe that its just a much more intimate moment, and doing it in private allows you to be yourself.
They both looked so awesome and you can see the love for each other just radiate.
The Flowers and decor from Jill at Branch and Bloom are to die for, their work is amazing are always so much fun to work with.
Amy also made a bunch of DIY items like the place cards and holder.
Love rings and love ring shots and you should too đ
I LOVE Amy’s Yellow cardigan, I believe it made her dress even more special, the bright color pops and screams playful.
We love bold and bright colors just makes the world go round. So these little pops of color from the cardigans made it playful and spontaneous. I also think the rest of the girls agree with me, or maybe it was because they kept them warm.
Ryan’s parents were so cute together and we had to have a photo to show that they still celebrate everyday like the day they first met.
For their first dance they were surrounded by family and loved ones that came to party in the name of love.
I think just a little bit of a good time was had by all.
Amy & Ryan we are so happy for you guys and know that you will endure a life long bond of happiness and adventure. Thanks for letting us celebrate with you đ
