Merry Christmas you filthy animals, oh and keep the change too 😉 Incase you live under a rock that is a movie reference (Home Alone) We have strong family values that we try to instill in Wyatt as he grows up. I remember growing up and looking forward to going to grandma and grandpa’s house on Christmas day. Everyone would gather around the kitchen of course. Seriously why aren’t houses just one big kitchen haha? Grandma would be cooking and serving fresh made portuguese soup (yes with pig ears and pig feet, yummmmmm), lobsters, rice and beans, and don’t forget the hot and delicious portuguese rolls. After we all stuffed our bellies full we would slowly make our way to the living room to exchange gifts next to the tree made from tinsel and wooden dowels. There may of been the Nutcracker, Miracle on 34th St, or maybe even a football game on while we ripped and torn paper throwing it into the air like a tornado. No matter what toys, ugly sweaters, or obnoxious christmas tie’s we gave or received it was all about sharing those intimate family stories about what we did that year and what we couldn’t wait to do in the next year.

As we grew older some things have may have dissipated but we are trying to bring it all back and instill these amazing qualities in our son. We share some old family traditions and with Maggie prodding and poking we have started many new ones. The Christmas season is all about giving thanks, sharing hugs, being playful, celebrating our accomplishments of the past year, and looking forward to the new journey we have in store for 2014. Will you be stagnant and choose the obvious path? or will you be spontaneous and make your own path? We know which way we are headed so sit back, strap in, hold on tight, and enjoy the ride (good thing we have a Jeep). Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
